There is hope… this week we talk to Dr Amy Small, GP and former Long Covid sufferer. She’s seen the disease from all sides – she’s lived it herself, alongside her husband who also has Long Covid, she’s treated patients with it, she is part of a Scottish government group fight for support for sufferers and will be addressing the Royal College of GPs Annual Conference in a bid to educate doctors about the condition.
Incredibly positive and knowledgeable, yet humbled by her experience as a patient, she shares her learning about managing symptoms, implementing pacing and the role that diet has played on her journey to recovery. She includes practical advice of how patients can improve their GP experience and improve their nutrition to take small but sure steps towards recovery.
